The main road out of Salem and into the Canyon was backed up a couple miles, moving slow with very little traffic coming the other way. I mapped an escape that took me north a bit, then east through the country. As I reached the city limits I could see that the burn crews were making up for lost time with yesterday's rain, including some upper elevation burns far to the east. Tomorrow. Yet, today's route offered this:

The rig, "Gert" is its name, was ready to go late the next day. Seems a seam gave in the radiator.
A few hours of road in about an hour.
