Ever have one of those days?

A couple days ago I posted two photos I labeled as "art." I'm working on a new series, of which they are part. I first had an idea about this type of project well over a year ago, and it involved a number of self-portraits. I found this new direction, turning the camera away from the bucolic and toward to "holic" uncomfortable, to say the least. I asked myself over and over how best to approach the subject matter. I believe the answer is to do so with a little bit of humor. The above photo is titled, "Today I will cut myself while shaving."

When I first saw this photo, it was in Google reader, and, at first glance, it looked like the guy in the Big Lebowski!!

Yeah, I get that a lot. Less so since I started wearing glasses. There used to be a running joke about it at Poker Academy.

After you donate your hair, this is made for you. Beard, head, no cuts, no fuss, no clippings. I used to know a very independent woman who mounted one in the attic above her bathroom. The vacuum hose and cutter head descended thru a hole and hung right by her mirror. Every few days, she regroomed in about a minute.

It's different with me; I get to have nooky with my barber!

I'm afraid that the chrome dome look is not for me. If you saw my the shape of my head without the hair, you would understand. If and when I go short, it will be temporary.

I will withhold comment on the other subject.

If I had hair that thick, I wouldn't cut it short either. However, I think the Flowbee does come with a 4-inch guide.....

If one looks really close at that photo, it does not look like 54 years. Could be 30. Good, clean living?
