DW and I took a boat ride down the local river. I got some fishing in, and caught and released two native rainbow trout, no steelies. Saw lots of salmon spawning. DW has been wanting to do this for a number of years. It was a perfect day to do so. We had a great day, and now, we're both rather tired, so I'm going to dump photos and go.

Nice shots.
I'd love to have been on that trip. In your photos, I see rapids (or whitewater or whatever it's called), was it nerve wracking or just exhilerating?
There were a few runs of rapids but nothing of a size where I feared the boat tipping over. Huge boulders were an issue but the helmsman is a master (been doing it for 40 years). We did get a little wet sitting up front. The average speed of the river is 4 mph.
I'm still mulling over a blow-by-blow account of the day.
